VillageBro ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
- Mobile number — used for OTP login and account identification.
- Name and profile details — provided by you during signup.
- Location data — state, district, mandal, and village selected by you. We do not track GPS location.
- Trip and booking data — trips you create or book, seats, fares, and UTR numbers for advance payments.
- Documents (drivers only) — Aadhaar card, driving licence, and vehicle RC uploaded for verification.
- UPI ID (drivers only) — used for direct passenger payments. We never handle money transactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the auto booking service and connect drivers with passengers.
- To send OTP messages for authentication via SMS.
- To verify driver identity and documents.
- To display trip listings and booking history.
- To send service announcements.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information only as necessary:
- Driver name and mobile number are shown to passengers after booking (within 1 hour of departure).
- Passenger name and mobile are shown to the driver for their bookings.
- We use Fast2SMS to send OTP messages. Only your mobile number is shared.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Hostinger (India). Uploaded documents are stored securely and accessible only to the admin for verification purposes.
5. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at hello@villagebro.in. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
VillageBro is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
